James David Strickland, 67, husband of 36 years to Sara Gable Strickland of 205 Rushton Rd., died Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Bud and Rea Jones Strickland. He retired as manager with Enmark and attended Belton Church of God.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are: daughter, Stacey Strickland of Greenville; brothers, Charles, Bill, Ronald Lee and Mikey Strickland all of Belton; sister, Patsy Strickland of Belton; grandson, Parker Dooling of Greenville.

Graveside service will be held 11am Friday at Garden of Memories with Rev. Dwight Greene officiating. Burial will follow.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6pm until 8pm at Cox Funeral Home.

Flowers are accepted.

The family will be at their respective homes.
