Catheline Taylor Watson, 88, of Honea Path, SC, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at her home, the Maples.
Catheline, also known as ‘Miss Cat’, was born and raised in Belton, SC. She was the daughter of the late Hubert Ithema (H.I.) and Bessie Pauline Dye Taylor, of Williamston. She graduated from high school in Belton and Carolette Beauty School in Columbia that led to her 31-year career in Cosmetology.
She married her best friend, Jack on March 13, 1949 and celebrated 52 wonderful years together. He was a retired custodian for school district 2. They were members of Chiquola Baptist Church in Honea Path. They had two daughters: Catherine and Rebecca.
‘Miss Cat’ is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Roger Dale) Robinson, of Honea Path; three grandchildren: Paula Genine (Troy) Kelly of Miami, FL, Faith Darlene (Michael) Phillips of Ashboro, NC and James Hubert Gambrell, of Honea Path; and two great-grandchildren: Taylor Paulena and Anna Payton of Ashboro, NC.
In addition to her parents, she is also predeceased by a daughter, Paula Catherine Gambrell.
She enjoyed her home at the Maples, now she is in her everlasting home in Heaven. The family wishes to extend their upmost gratitude to everyone at the Maples for the care and comfort they gave to her, there was no other place.
The family will receive friends at Chiquola Baptist Church on Sunday, March 25, 2018 from 1pm to 3pm. Immediately following at 3pm at the church on Sunday, the story of her life will be shared by Pastor Ronnie Powell and Mark Willis. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories.
The family will be at the home of her daughter, Rebecca.
At the request of ‘Miss Cat’ and her family, they ask that there be no flowers. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Chiquola Baptist Church Building Fund or Hospice of the Upstate, Rainey House.
