B. F. “Jitterbug” Hughes, Jr., 88, widower of Joyce Faye Holtzclaw Hughes formerly of 214 Forest Lane died Monday, March 12, 2018 at Springs Memorial Hospital.

Born in Honea Path, SC, he was the son of the late B. F. Hughes, Sr. and Mable Gilmer Hughes. He served in the US Army and was a member of Belton Church of God.

Surviving are: daughters, Pam Howell (Rev. Barry Howell) of Lancaster and Denise Lollis of Ware Shoals; grandchildren, Chad and Corey Howell of Lancaster, Jason Lollis of Belton and Kayla Thomas of Ware Shoals; 5 great granddaughters.

Service will be held 3pm Sunday at Belton Church of God with Rev. Barry Howell and Rev. Norman Black officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1pm until 2:45pm at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Belton Church of God, 313 N. Main St., Belton, SC 29627.

The family will be at the residence.
